HippoCampus, a project of the Monterey Institute for Technology and Education, serves the purpose of providing high-quality, multimedia content on general education subjects to high school and college students free of charge. Designed as a part of the Open Education Resources, similar to the OCW (maybe add link to OCW here?) program, the website’s content has been developed by some of the finest colleges and universities. HippoCampus is the ultimate in Homework Help for High School students, no joke – you WANT to use this. The website features learning resources in all general high school subjects: Algebra, American Government, Biology, Calculus, Environmental Science, Physics, Psychology, Religion, US History (AP course material available only for some subjects). Subject materials are set up in two ways: by subject matter, and by textbooks relevant to the course. Lessons are provided in slideshow format, by subject, made easily comprehensible.

The Liberty Science Center
The Liberty Science Center (LSC), located in Jersey City, New Jersey, is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization offering exceptional science learning experiences onsite, offsite, and online. The American Museum of Natural History
The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), located in New York, New York, is a museum which highlights exhibitions pertaining to the natural history of our world, integrating an interactive field for children to learn in and explore hands-on. Ellis Island
Ellis Island is a symbol of America’s immigrant heritage. From 1892 to 1954, Ellis Island processed the greatest wave of immigrants in the history of the nation – nearly twelve million people landed on the island in their search of freedom of speech and religion, and for economic opportunity. After 30 years of abandonment, the main building was restored and transformed into a collection of exhibits to open as a public museum on September 10, 1990.

Located on a 12 acre island, the Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States and is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986.
