“So how bad is the cafeteria food?”
CollegeNet is a unique service provided to you by SEED. High school students now have the opportunity to communicate directly with current college students and recent alumni of the schools they are interested in applying to. The pupose of it is to help prospective students like yourself to get a feel for the kind of experiences you might find at these places, both academically and socially. Our hope is that this type of understanding may arm you with an extra bit of perspective for when the time comes to make that life-changing decision.
How it works: This is essentially a forum set up as a blog post. For each school with representatives, a link to a post will be created below. Click on the school you are interested in. Each post begins with a “rep’s” description of the school and whatever experiences they wish to share with you. All SEED-authorized reps will be identified in the original post, although only one of them will be the designated original poster (OP). Do note that SEED reps are not necessarily official reps for their school, although they can be.
You can then respond with any questions you may have by typing in the provided comment box. Reps will try to answer you as best they can.
Requirements: You must create an account on this website. Registration is free. Click here to do so. You must be logged in to participate.
Rules: This is not a “social” network. This is a shared space for the exchange of ideas and information regarding colleges of interest to you. Please conduct yourself in a mature fashion, and use clear language to avoid confusion. Admins have the right to take any action necessary to moderate this space, including the deletion of offensive comments and the accounts of those who violate our rules of conduct. Please refer to our Terms of Use & Legal Policies page for more guidelines.
TIP: While logged in, you can “subscribe” to any of these college posts. That means you will receive an email every time someone adds a comment. Look for a link or a checkbox near the comment box to manage your subscriptions. Make sure your email server is not blocking us (check your spam).
