“Baller” is a term used in the context of contemporary everyday life and of course in the world of sports. A baller may describe a person who makes a lot of $$$$ or carries a lot of $$$$ in his right pocket; hence the phrase, “He’s a baller.” What he chooses to do with the wad of Benjamins is beyond the choices made by average citizens. Also, a baller may describe someone who takes high risks, such as the avid gambler who places a minimum of 10K per bet. However, the “baller” in the context of sports is someone who’s got “game,” but is not synonymous with “gamer,” which is another term I will discuss in the near future. If you were to see someone on the playing field or court and say, “Man, that guy can play,” then by that definition, he’d be a “baller.” It is what it is!!! Don’t be haters!!!
I am Baller-K… I will be discussing many aspects of sports. They can be on the topic of professional athletes as well as professional sports teams. They can also be on the subject of after-school sports activities, such as recreational sports or high school sports. Or we can talk about practice! As Allen Iverson once said, “Practice? We sittin’ here talkin’ bout practice?” We can talk about the Olympics, NBA playoffs, upcoming NFL season, fantasy sports, etc… and of course my favorite, BASEBALL. We can also talk about baggy shorts, wooden bats, authentic jerseys, or even instructional pitching videos. The only thing we won’t talk about is hockey, but bull fighting, YES!!! We can also talk about sports training, weight training, injuries, or even nutrition (in terms of what athletes should eat of course and not diabetics). I would like to hear what all of you have to say. In the meantime, I hope to further the importance of sports in everybody’s life.
